Remote Pilot Certificate (RPC)

The minimum age of 18 is required by law to obtain your RPC and candidates must be the holder of a valid Class 3 aviation medical certificate. You will be required to pass 8 exams during the course of your training. These are:

– Air Law
– Aerodynamic Principles
– Aircraft Technical and General
– Human Performance and Factors
– Meteorology
– Navigation
– Flight Planning
– Restricted Radiotelephony License

At the end of your training, you will be required to complete a final RPC test, which will include an oral exam and a flight test.

Once all the above requirements have been satisfactorily completed, you will be awarded with a RPC.  As a RPC holder you will be permitted to conduct commercial work while working for a SACAA approved Unmanned Aerial System Operator Certificate (UASOC) holder.
