Saturday 26 October 2019 the Cape Town Flying Club hosted another very successful aviation career day. The club wish to thank all the members who volunteered, the instructors and staff without whom this day would not have been possible.
It was a great privilege to have Alderman James Vos, Mayoral Committee Member of the City of Cape Town to officially open the event. This gave Cape Town Flying Club the opportunity to showcase to local government the variety of career paths available within the aviation sector.
Alderman Vos was given the opportunity to take the controls of a light aircraft under the supervision of Cape Town Flying Club instructor Ziyad Khan. This gave him insight to what it takes to do pilot training out of Cape Town International Airport.
Companies and organisations who showcased careers included Western Cape Metro EMS, Future Flyers, Airports Company South Africa, The South African Weather Services and Air Traffic Navigation Services. We thank each participating organisation for their valuable contribution to showcase and create awareness of the various aviation careers.
