The Committee
Trustees
These are the folks that ensure a sense
of continuity between committees, as the outgoing chairman
is then made a trustee. The trustees are responsible for all
the legal business of the club
Jim Deane
Jim Deane was the chairman of the Good Hope Flying club for the last two years and has a passion for flying both fixed wing and helicopters and has an aerobatic rating which he regularly uses!
Born in 1955 in Gloucester, England, Jim has spent his entire working life designing and implementing Computer Systems for the Financial Services industry, founding a UK based Software Supplier, Marlborough Stirling – the company that brought him to South Africa.
Since moving to South Africa, Jim has been involved in implementing a major system at a major insurer in Cape Town, retired and then finding himself bored, developed a Wine Estate and now is involved in the Development of the Financial Services Subsidiary of the Sekunjalo Group.
Schalk Burger
Born in 1975 after which nothing significant happened until he started his membership with CAC and PPL training in Feb 1994, and completed his PPL in April the same year.
He currently holds a Commercial License and IF Rating, completed with CAC in 1995.
He has served on the CAC Committee during 1997 and again in 2005 when he became Chairman following up Rocky Romanov. He loves general aviation and would love to get into competition aerobatics in due time.

The Committee
